Toon Thursday: Write, Revise, Repeat

If only putting on a metaphorical hat and necklace was the key to writing success, right? I'm still in the first stage of my next project, and that sorry mess on the left is probably an optimistic visual representation at this point. (To be totally accurate, it should probably be missing a few limbs...maybe an eye...really, it's more like a Mr. Potato Head that hasn't been fully assembled yet...)

Yeah... that first frame should have dismembered parts... and possibly being flung onto it, screeching.

Honestly - I both love and hate that first draft moment, and mine right now is all over the place.

On the other hand, my brain has just produced a clearly plotted separate novel, it so badly does not want to deal with this one... nice try, brain.

It's funny because it's true. :-)

Tanita, I feel your pain...my current project was nagging at me the entire time I was revising last fall. Oh, and this past fall, too. Argh.

And now, of course, my current project is its own lumpy Mr. Potato Head.
