I think my last post mentioned that I would be participating in the 2-week Women's History Month series of guest author posts over at STACKED, called About the Girls--well, that kicked off today in stellar fashion with a post on one of those subjects we enjoy debating here at FW: the Unlikeable Female Protagonist. Author and publisher Sarah McCarry, who wrote All Our Pretty Songs (which I haven't yet read) has a pretty hilarious take on it. One favorite quote from the post: "Female Protagonists may only ever be subdivided into 'Likable' and 'Unlikable'; for Fully-Developed Human Beings, refer to 'Men.'"
Ha. Yes.
Anyway, go check it out and keep checking back for the rest of the series--if today's post is an indication, it's going to be a lot of fun.
