So I could binge-read them both!Sarah Stevensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16534942492714970282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10890387.post-60223369499223895962015-02-09T18:39:40.669-08:002015-02-09T18:39:40.669-08:00Also, it's just a fantastic book and I love it...Also, it's just a fantastic book and I love it so much. It's got so much depth and the characters are relatable, real, and multi-layered. I really want to read it again, because I don't feel like I got everything on the first read.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16813084292265103896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10890387.post-12854407406066724322015-02-09T18:36:52.163-08:002015-02-09T18:36:52.163-08:00Maybe you could add it with a qualification? There's so little good science fiction featuring protagonists of color, that I think it's important to highlight the ones that are out there.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16813084292265103896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10890387.post-24030504075567847132015-02-09T18:33:47.587-08:002015-02-09T18:33:47.587-08:00I did think about that one. The protagonist, Abdi Taalib, is an African from Djibouti living in Australia (100 years in the future). Your post said African-American, and he's not American, but he is black, so I thought it might be appropriate for Black History Month.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16813084292265103896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10890387.post-43836691997662976892015-02-09T16:30:45.425-08:002015-02-09T16:30:45.425-08:00Oh, sheesh, I even read that one.
